From the moment we first dreamt of opening Refúgio da Azinheira, our wish was simple: to offer a home that breathes Alentejo — slow, authentic, unhurried.
Welcoming you here is more than opening our door. It is sharing with you our own personal refuge: the scent of olive and fig trees, the silence of the countryside at dusk, the stars that enchant us every night.
We hope you find true rest here — the kind you can only feel far from the noise, with a cup in your hands and nothing to do. And, if you'll allow us, we'd love to share some of our favourite spots around Torrão: the Vale do Gaio reservoir, the N2 Route, small local producers, and the corners where Alentejo is still Alentejo.
